Municipalities are required to prepare
Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) in terms of the
Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act No. 32 of 2000). These
are to be submitted for consideration to the MEC for
Local Government in the Province. A Provincial Multi
Sectoral IDP Forum has been established to assist the
MEC to consider IDPs within the prescribed period of
30 days from the date of receipt thereof.
